I spent several months in late 2014 researching and writing parts of the Fodor’s Vietnam travel guidebook. The book has just gone on sale on Amazon (in late September 2015), and it looks absolutely awesome.
My contribution to the book include the Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta and South-Central Vietnam chapters, as well as the Flavors of Vietnam and History You Can See sections.
Unfortunately, given the pace of change in Vietnam, a handful of the recommended places in the book have closed or moved. There are also a couple of errors in the Ho Chi Minh City chapter, with some restaurants listed in the wrong location. Just make sure you read all the eating recommendations in every part of town before making your dining decisions. The addresses are correct, it’s just some places have been listed in the wrong section.
Dear friends of mine, Skip and Gabi Yetter, have written a book about people who have left the rat race for a life of adventures. I’m proud and humbled to be featured in the book, in the company of some truly inspirational people.
Please note: if you click on the photos and buy either book through Amazon, I receive a few cents commission.
