Hey, So We Are Alive
The baby is almost eight weeks old and we’ve been back in Vietnam for four weeks. So why no updates?
Well, the baby, who began life as a sleeping champion, decided at about week three that he needed to be held all day. And holding a baby really does limit one’s ability to do … just about anything. Especially now it’s school holidays in Vietnam and I have Miss M’s four-year-old exuberance all day.
Thank goodness we can afford some home help, without it we would be toast. Of course, as is always the case, an urgent work project landed in my lap in the one week we were without a helper. That was a tough week indeed.
Having a helper means that I can get out and about a bit without the baby. I no longer have a motorbike, so I’ve been walking a lot. The slower pace has led to me discovering a lot of new eating places in our neighbourhood.
Watch this space for more food news as well as an update on our recent experiences with various airlines … next time I have two free hands.

Gosh, he is a beauty. I understand how hard it is carrying a baby all day and in hot weather doubly so. He looks happy though. At least you have the exuberant one to entertain him when not at school 🙂
