Xin Chao From Vietnam
Xin chào độc giả thân mến (hello dear readers)!
Just a quick hello from our new home base in Ho Chi Minh City.
Miss M and I had such amazing adventures in France and Switzerland but I just couldn’t write about it while we were there. When the tiny travel princess finally fell asleep each night (usually after an extended-mix bedtime routine), I only had enough strength left to lift a glass of wine to my lips and watch Hulu’s latest offerings. My trembling body and exhausted brain just could not write.
I didn’t expect to be solo parenting a toddler through Europe but the #%@*ing French government left me no option, after they refused Darling Man’s Schengen visa. So we did it and it was fun … until we were struck down with the Swiss Grippe.
But in the space of a few days our lives have gone from boulangeries, French hospitality and cobblestone streets to coconuts, motorbikes and Miss M’s first day at child care. And Darling Man, of course.
My head is in a spin but I don’t want to pass on this condition. Hence this short post to tell you that I’m going to post about our European travels as flashbacks. So you won’t miss out on our adventures and misadventures, they’ll just be on a delayed broadcast.
And you won’t miss out on our current crazy life either. The best of both worlds on the one blog – what a deal!
Of course, if you’ve liked my Facebook page you’d have a bit of an idea what Miss M and I have been up to. If you are not yet a likee, what are you waiting for? Come on over and join the fun!
